Ana-Digital Watch with Quartz and Automatic Movements?

I was curious if anyone was aware if there is an ana-digital watch with a quartz movement for the digital part but an automatic movement for the analog part.

I suspect the market for an ana digi using quartz and mechanical movements would be thin for a couple of reasons. One half of the watch would have a limited power reserve of 40 hours and be accurate to 10 seconds per day while the other would have a 3 year power reserve and be accurate to 15 seconds per month. The two displays would never be in sync.

The key feature of ana-digis is having all the displays in sync and being able to move the main hands to digitally predetermined places. There's just no way to do that with a mechanical movement.

Now, you could I suppose do a Kinetic ana-digi. But the low power reserve would still be a pain.

Isn't the Tag Monaco 69 an automatic watch on one side, and a digital / quartz watch on the other? Sort of stretching the ana-digital design to it's breaking point, but it's the only one I can think of.

That would make for one very heavy, big watch. If there is such a thing, i'd like to know its weight.

This is one very odd duck. I respect the idea, but I could never buy one...

Agree, I would avoid too. But kudos to Hamilton for bringing this and some other concept (eg ODC) watches to market at 'affordable' price points.

There are actually a number of "kinetic-like" rotor based digitals:

Ventura makes several. High dollar though.
