    Ancient theme watches?

So you guys helped me plenty with the astronomical theme watches, but I would like to know if there are watches out there with ancient theme? By ancient I mean the Roman empire, Egyptian empire or one of those old empires. Any theme with those would kick ass, emanel painted theme or maybe carved in marble or such. Anyone know if such watches exists? And once again, no Seiko, Swatch or Casio crap.

If you have the change no problem.
    Look for
+ PP watches, for example Ref. 1595 out of the 60ties.
+ Glashütte Original Prince’s Palace of Monaco.

Not the right theme but lovely

What about the Soviet Empire? Just look in the appropiate Forum! Might even suit your wallet!
Can I give you a little very friendly advice?
And if you continue calling Seiko and Casio crap, somebody might send you a little Virus so your computer gets the Flu!
Many a collection have started with a Seiko or Casio!

Hey that stuff looks great! But I would kill to find some watches with theme pre 1400, so that it contains those old world paintings.

Sorry, I wont call them that again, I know some people like them.

If you have the necessary money PP will be pleased to offer you a cloisonné dial with a theme of your choice, I am sure of that.

Maybe a long (bow) shot, but did not Franklin Mint do something like that?
Also, if you have a perverse need to have certain painting on the dial, you could always have the dial custom made with the painting (or part of) you crave!
I am not talking cloisonne, I talk more like quality-printer printing.
A couple of weeks/months, there was a guy (from Italy?) who made 2 watches where the dials looked like dials from pressure gauges I think.
    Good luck!

Well, yeah but I would rather have a wish list of a watch I need to have with a theme like that. I love the first picture in this thread with the air plane. Anything like that just with some REALLY old style makes me

Well, at the extreme high end, Ulysse Nardin - Genghis Khan Minute
Repeater 786-88. Limited to 30 pieces, you'll have to sell your soul to
    get one.

There was the Limes - World Heritage, but I think it's out of production. It was on my list. The Glashutte Original - Golden Dragon
65-01-60-60-04, this one will take some heavy coin to get.
There're just isn't much demand for such watches.
