    Annual Hand Watch

    Hi everyone -

I'm wondering what watches out there have an Annual Hand, meaning a hand that completes one turn every year. I am interested in learning about both quartz and mechanical watches with this complication.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!

Some watches list the month on or near the bezel, and will have an indicator hand that advances each month. That's the closest I've seen.

Hmmm. While they do exist,. not sure if it is either a common or a useful complication.
Most obvious (actually the only one) that jumps to mind is the new Omega Globemaster Annual Calendar. The date is displayed via date window, and month uses a pointer hand that completes one revolution per year.

Thanks. The Omega Globemaster is the only one I knew of... this is the type of complication I am looking for, but in a cheaper (even quartz) option. I have an idea for a custom watch design, but it requires an annual hand for the concept I am looking for. I have a feeling this isn't going to be easy

Most common would be a hand that marks months. Was there something in particular that you wanted the annual hand to count?

I believe Citizen has some in their Eco Drive Calibre series.

edit: This is the Citizen I was thinking of.

    Re: Annual Hand Watch

Thanks guys. Essentially, I have an idea for a customized watch. The idea I have would require a hand to make one full rotation every year. Ideally the watch would be very simple otherwise, with just hour, minute and second hands, but I have a feeling nothing like that really exists. I also am looking for a movement that would be affordable, which is why I'm thinking a quartz movement would be more likely.

Are there any companies that could produce a quartz movement to those specifications? I don't know if there's anyone out there that customizes movements or how pricey that would be.
