    Another "Help me Decide" Thread

Hi Guys. I have gone back and forth on several watches for my next purchase, so I thought I would enlist the forum to help me decide

I just sold my Speedmaster and am really a "one watch" kind of person, so I am looking for something that as pretty versatile. I generally wear suits to work and am quite casual outside of work, so I want a watch that can be dressed up or down.

    Here are my criteria:

    - < $6500 budget
    - 40-42mm
    - I prefer leather to bracelet, but it's not a deal breaker
    - prefer in house movement
    - prefer no chrono or GMT
    - date function is a plus
    - no gold cases
    - don' really want a black dial

To give you an idea of what kind of watches I am looking at, here are a few of my current top contenders:

Let me know what you think!

Nail hit squarely on head. Rolex Datejust II or Grand Seiko Snowflake. Toss a coin. Done deal

I actually adore those Zeniths however they work much better in a rotation than a one watch situation IMO.

I own a Snowflake, so I'm partial. Very versatile piece. It would be between the Snowflake and the Zenith for me. Good luck!

I'd probably go with a Rolex Explorer.

I don't have any first-hand experience with Zenith but I own the Snowflake and two Rolex models. If I were in your shoes, I would choose the Snowflake for the accuracy, finishing and attention to detail. It does come with a titanium bracelet, which is much lighter than the steel options...some think it feels cheap and too lightweight. I actually like it. The titanium case and bracelet of the Snowflake also gives the brushed parts a greyish look to it. Finally, there is not as much adjustment on the GS bracelet as the new Rolex bracelets (I'm not sure which bracelet option is offered on the DJ, so I am making an assumption here). If you are good with these factors regarding the Snowflake, I think it is a great choice. IMHO, the Snowflake is really an amazing watch in every aspect and I think it is just as versatile as your other options.
    Good Luck!
