    Another - "most iconic" question

    Hey all,

I've wanted to add a Vacheron and a Longines to my collection.

I like the traditional patrimony from vacheron and a Chrono from longines ( don't know which one)

What would you consider to be the most iconic from these makes?

    Thanks
    Rukshan

Without getting crazy with money I would get the 85180 Patrimony for VC a modern interpretation of the iconic VC dress watches.

For Longines I would get a vintage chronograph if I was looking for an iconic watch from them.

I can't really answer your question with much authority, but from the looks of your sig, it's clear that you've done a great job acquiring iconic pieces from a few well-known brands.

OK...just so my post isn't completely useless, I actually consider the Legend Diver to be the most "iconic" Longines. Unfortunately, it's not a chrono.

Me too. I buy watches, not icons.

Forget about the "modern" Longines if you want a "collector's" piece. Get a vintage Longines chronograph with the caliber 13ZN or 30CH. Warning: one of these probably will cost more than several modern Longines watches

For VC, I would suggest the 82035. Longines, the hour angle. Cheers!

Better go vintage if you want iconic when it comes to Longines. Longines is just a shell of what it once was in the watch world.
