Another sub $500 watch tread with some significant limitations.

A friend wants to buy a watch for his father in law and he asked me for an advice, but there are some significant limitations. First of all the budget is $500, quartz is OK and actually is preferred. He said he wants Swiss brand or possibly other European or American brand (but Swiss is preferred), but no Asian brands at all. Father in law is around 60, so watch has to be relatively classy, also he needs the watch in 2 weeks. Since he has to make purchase in just a short time that eliminates Steinhardt and other harder to get watch brands because shipping may take a while, also this friend has a Tissot PRC200 watch so he doesn't want to buy the same watch for his father in law.

I already showed one of the few C. Wards C3 Malvern Chrono MKII, I showed a Victorinox, and before you even ask i showed Visodate as well. And he was ok with those, but i am struggling to come up with something else here. I guess a Diver or a Chrono would be a plus, but i'll take all suggestions.

    Thank You All.

Doubt you can find a good Chrono at that price point .... as for diver Seiko Sumo is the only one I would consider so ....

Would you consider the Concord Bennington. It comes in different case shapes.

Even gray market is out of budget, but he does not want rectangular watch.

Have a look at all of the Raymond Weil quartz models. Jomashop has some big savings.
