Question Any help with info on this Junghans?

I received this watch as a gift several years ago from a relative. Not being my cup of tea, I've never worn it, but today I found it again in the drawer where I stashed it away.

I haven't been able to find anything useful with some Googling, but I figured I might get some help here...

I don't think it's a particularly valuable watch (I seem to recall him telling me it was only a few hundred dollars or so new), but if anyone has an idea of the value, I'd certainly appreciate that as well.

In any case, if you have any insight about this watch, please let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

is that vintage, or is that new? sorry i can't help, but i can see why you put it in the drawer. if it's gold, then you may be able to scrap it.

I haven't any idea. The relative who gave it to me is deceased, so I can't ask him. I wish I knew.

Yes - the chances of me ever wearing it are slim, no, zero. Still, it was a thoughtful gift and I couldn't scrap it!

    Thanks.

Send Junghans an email with the model number of the watch. They'll be able to identify it, and may even be able to send you a user manual (pdf) for example. At least, they did for me

We don't give valuations in this forum because it is impossible to assess condition over the Internet. That said, you are probably just looking at sentimental value.

70's would be my guess. Movement: swiss ETA (just another guess)
    Value: sentimental

I'm interested in more information on this brand as well. This is the watch my father wore during the early 80's. My uncle did as well. I wonder if it was a big deal back then. Anyway, here's a pic...

No big deal those times. Junghans watches have been mass products.
