Any watch deals on a Carnival cruise?

Going on a Carnival cruise this week and was wondering if anyone ever found a good deal on a watch at the Duty Free shop?

"Affordable" just means you end up spending the same amount of money, but end up with a greater number of watches. -MandoBear

You will be visting ports that cater to hundreds of cruise ships every year. There will be plenty of watch dealers to visit and you may well see some watches not available back home. However the negotiated prices will be at or above what you would pay by shopping online or at an a.d.

I’ve only ever cruised with P&O and never saw anything even approaching a bargain.

In my experience the shops ON the boat may have a couple of nice watches, but not at great prices. As mentioned above, the ports you stop at could have amazing selections and at good prices, just know what you're looking for.

We have 8 hours in Cozumel. Not sure what to expect from a watch shop in Mexico.

I would NOT recommend buying on Carnival. The prices are too high. Ditto for the various ports of call on your cruise. Definitely DO take the opportunity to try on as many watches as you're interested in at the shops, then buy what you like from home. The exception would be if you know the prices you can get here, and those you see down there are better. I didn't see good watch shops in Cozumel anyway. The whole tax-free benefit is not comparable to a discount you can get here either. Try, but don't buy.

Have a blast on the cruise, though!!
