That Waltham is modern, isn't it? I mean, it all depends on what metric one is using. By my standards, the Waltham is waaaaay too modern for you. Send it my way, and I promise to find it a loving home.

I have a weak spot for guilloche but I fear even a second hand RL Classique is outside my price range.

I'm actually wearing it right now. The guilloche dial is hands down one of the best I've ever seen, and they're made on 100+-year-old machines. They're works of art.

You bring up an interesting point, though. These watches are so uncommon that I've never seen one on the used market. That goes for any RL watch, for that matter.

My guilloche dial watch says "Hi!" Picked this up at a jeweller's mid-year sale a for a song. It was advertised as being a real guilloche dial. It certainly looks more 'real' than the stamped patterns on the Hugo Boss watches they were also trying to get rid of.
