    Astronomical Watches?

Hello everyone! I am happy to have found this forum and finally have some professionals out there and a community to aid me in my questions about watches, so here we go.

Where can I find watches with Astronomical themes in them? With planet rotations and such? And please dont tell me Seiko, Citizen and all that crap, I am looking for quality and complicated mechanical time pieces. Does anyone know if such exists? I know UN made one or two of those, but I cant seem to find anything else. Any help is appreciated.

Crap? I guess that slipped right?

Anyway... are you referring to a moonphase complication or a watch that actually showed the rotations of the planets?

Hi VintageWatchMan and welcome to the Forum!
You should look into a Swiss maker called Patek Philippe. They make rather nice watches, many of them with astrological complications. Model no 5102J is a favorite of mine. When you bought one please do not forget, we are suckers for pictures! We specially love closeup pictures of the movements! Good luck in your hunt! Tallyho!

You should have said a moonphase, you threw me off the scent! JLC have a nice classy Moon phase watch. Master Calendar I think.

there's a issue of Chronos (could be Uhren/ArmbandUhren magazine) that features nearly all watches with these complications.. Mail me.. I could photograph the page for you (no scanner available)

Having a further look and Mr Van der Klaauw's site reveales these superb animations of his works...amazing..

Planetarium... note the speed controls in the upper right and the year progression along the bottom boarder of the frame..(they all start at "normal speed")
