Asymmetrical clasp, where shall I place it on the wrist?

Hi everyone. So I recently bought a Strapcode bracelet (brilliant quality BTW) but because it is a jubilee bracelet I bought a smaller clasp so it has a lower profile. The thing is the top portion of the clasp is much smaller than the foldover part (double lock diver's clasp in the pic below). Normally I try and keep the number of link the same on either side of the clasp but what is the best thing to do here? If I were to put an equal number of links on either side of the clasp the position of the whole clasp will be lopsided. Thank you for your help!

It may seem a little obvious but one of the primary requirements of a watch is that it’s comfortable on the wrist so just position the clasp in such a way that it proves you with maximum comfort.

Thanks for your reply sticky. Yeah that was what I was going by initially. I just wondered what other people did when they encountered something similar. I think a lot of Seiko divers come with similar clasps so hopefully someone has trodden on this path before.

I also thought it was best to have equal no. of links on either side when adjusting my bracelet. But found that it was best to have more links on the fold over side to compensate for its length. Don’t know much about clasps, but most of the ones I saw are asymmetrical when attached to bracelets.

I size my own bracelets and notice that most of the time I need asymmetrical number of links on the two sides to get the bracelet to sit roughly in the middle.

Usually have an extra link on the 12H side.

Sits on my wrist better that way .

I usually have the longer side of the bracelet on the 12H side. But i have an equal number of links on both side on my HC.

Thank you for your reply everyone. I think the general consensus is not to worry too much about an odd link or two so I think I will go by that. Thanks for your help again everyone! :)
