Authorized Dealers in the New York City area

    Hey Folks,

New to the forum, so I apologize if this post is out of order in any way. I have always been fascinated by watches but have more seriously gotten into the world of higher-end watches relatively recently. Must admit, I have been totally addicted to watchuseek lately. I was hoping to get some recommendations on good Authorized Dealers in the New York City area (some brands that I am particularly drawn towards include Omega, Longines, Frederique Constant, IWC, Ball, JLC, Raymond Weil among others), especially downtown Manhattan, that you have had positive experiences with. I hopefully did my due diligence by searching for old posts first but it appears that its preferable to discuss AD recommendations over private messages and couldn't get much info from the posts; so please feel free to send me a pm if you have a recommendation.

Hoping to hear from y'all soon and thanks in advance!

I don't have any recommendations, but this might help. I've been wishing I could just wander around mid-town and hit a lot of these some day.

Was just there in NYC not long ago and the upper East side on 5th ave has a cluster of dealers and boutiques like Omega, Cartier, Wempe, Tag Heuer, Rolex and there was an IWC boutique very close by as well.

There are a huge number of stores/boutiques in midtown Manhattan (52nd to 57th sts, from just west of 5th ave to Madison) that are great places to look at some pieces in real life. However, if you're an average consumer, they generally won't do much for you in terms of discount. Cellini Jewelers close by was very friendly when I stopped in, and they carry IWC as well as Zenith, among others (I think JLC was there too). If you settle on a Swatch brand watch, there are far fewer dealers now than there were a year or two ago given that Swatch seems bent on setting up boutiques for each of their brands - Omega and Breguet are already on 5th ave, with construction work going on for Blancpain and Tissot, as well.
