Band/body color aesthetics--raw metal vs. black?

Of late, I see more and more black/DLC/black-ion metal-band watches. Compared to the natural steel/titanium-colored bands/watches, what impressions does the black vs. natural make?

Is the black more modern, tactical, perhaps casual?

Does the natural show more class, perhaps higher-end and timeless?

Which is more dressy? With the same model watch, one with black Ti band and one with natural Ti band, which would you choose and why?

I'm curious about your opinions of black-band watches vs. natural metal.

    Thanks.

I would choose natural unless I wanted the style of a coating wearing off.

But, maybe those coatings are more durable than before.

I actually like those Black PVD watches. I've never bought one because I usually wear one watch indefinitely and stainless steel seems to go with more scenarios all around aesthetically.. especially in spring and summer.

I think black PVD usually provides a much more casual look, though there are some dressier styles I think it's more suited to sports watches. I bought one once. It lasted about 5 minutes on my wrist, the colour just didn't look right to me.

    +1

and I also think raw looks better and is possibly more versatile...
