    Confused Baume & Mercier - Solid/Capped/Plated Gold?

I really like the Two-Tone B&M Riviera Chronograph, but am concerned about how the gold would wear over time.
From looking at the bracelet I can see that the center links are gold capped. That is OK since the capping is as thick as the actual hollow gold link on my Rolex. My real concern was about the bezel and crown since they get the most wear.
I emailed Baume & Mercier and they responded that the bezel & crown are solid gold...but then said the links were solid as well. Since they included the links, I don't know if I can believe them about the bezel and crown.
I emailed a large on-line dealer and was told that the bezel is solid, bracelet capped, and the crown is plated. IMHO choosing to plate the crown would be the worst idea.
I then went to my local AD and he called the B&M rep and was told the bracelet is capped, bezel is solid, and the crown is solid as well.
    .........Who to Believe?

No wonder you're confused. That kind of "expertise" frightens me!

They all agree that the bezel is solid, and that's what I consider to be the most important. It is not that big of a hassle or expense to get a new crown and you will likely find that the plating will take years to wear off.
