    BB36 arrival

I've been going back and forth over this purchase for a while and this week I decided to bite the bullet. I've just picked up the watch today, and thought I'd share a few quick pictures taken on the train home from the office. Feel free to share your opinions on the watch. I'm very happy with it, the quality feels excellent and it looks perfect for all occasions in my eyes.
I think the BB36 sits pretty well with my current collection, I'll list what I have here and will probably share some pictures of all 4 watches over the weekend. I have an Omega Speedmaster Professional Mk II, the original vintage model with a great patinated dial. Two Seiko divers in the SKX007K, on original Seiko Jubilee bracelet, and the SRP777, I bought this on the rubber strap but have been wearing it on the Phoenix NATO in admiralty grey which I think is the perfect strap for it.

Very nice watch. If I didn't already have Explorer I , I would be getting one of these.

    Re: BB36 arrival

Why did they call it the Black Bay, just like the full-size diver, I've no idea. Has almost nothing to do with the standard Black Bay. What it has a lot to do with design-wise, is the Rolex Explorer. Frankly, it's got even more of that 1950s/1960s tool/field watch than the Explorer. The fairly large crown reminds me of the crown to case size proportion found in 1930s/1940s Bubblebacks. That said, it's a really good looking watch.
