    A 'beater' you don't beat?

    I bought this two weeks ago at the duty free in an airport to use as a vacation beater;

    I'm liking that a lot as a day to day watch.

    Picked up a Seiko 5 as well for the same purpose but find myself quite fond of it, I do wear it when I don't want to risk damaging my others but I am incapable of letting harm come to it

    Bought a silver dial Casio MDV106 as a beater. It's probably my most complimented watch. Don't use it as a beater anymore.

    At one point I wanted to sell it.

    But now it's a keeper.

    I'm trying to work up the courage to buy a Rolex GMT-Master II. That'll be much more than I've ever spent on a watch. It's the perfect beater -- strong, rugged, useful -- but I would nonetheless baby the hell out of it. (Which is actually a good reason not to buy it. But, it's so pretty...)

    I like it. Nice, clean and uncluttered.

    My Monster. It's been a 'beater' for about a year, but still doesn't have one scratch on it. I use it during workouts, but always under a sweatshirt and wear it stocking boxes and whatnot at work now.

    For me, it is a sarb033. Typically seen used as a daily wearer, but I reserve mine as a dress-casual piece. I fancy it quite a good bit.

    While I don't subscribe to the term "beater" I think I know what you mean. As far as watches to knock around in/with, these are what I normally use . . .

    That PP doesn't have a single scratch.

    This is where you show us a pic of your overgrown yard and all the eviction notices on the front door from doing no work with your beater. :)
