    BEAUTIFUL NEW ACQUISITIONS

So I was going to spend less this new year, when I found these 2. The Rolex Explorer I Ref.114270 was purchased from a local store, love at first sight. Honestly one of the most comfortable watches I've ever owned.

This is incoming tomorrow, can't sleep tonight.

Wil follow up with quality pictures!

I think you need to check your dictionary for meaning of "LESS"

That said, congrats and that explorer looks very nice.

I was considering getting my wife the explorer, with 36mm size and no date (no cyclops), I think that is one nice watch.
    Chronic flipper...

I'm definitely jealous. I could possibly buy the Patek Philippe, but my poor bank account would be drained after that. I'd have to make due with ramen noodles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the rest of the year. Not sure my wife could be convinced that both of us and our son should go on a noodle diet so I could wear a new watch.

Yeah the size and style is really unisex. One thing I'm noticing is that from afar this watch looks very pedestrian, but once you look closer its almost as if the finish and shine pops out at you.

I just reread my post and realized I came off as rather arrogant.

When I said that I was going to spend less this year, it actually meant that in 2012 I spent very little, and I was planning to spend less than that for this year.

(I'm assuming you're referring to the PP) Sorry to disagree, but it is hardly 'pedestrian' from any distance. It is such a beautiful watch. You must include a wrist shot when you post photos.

What I mean is that from a slight distance, the watch's shape and dial color is similar to so many other watches, especially if you take a quick glance. At that distance the 36mm dial looks burry, or my eyesight is going bad... But definitely a gorgeous watch that exudes history.

Point taken - I forget how much spending time on this forum distorts one's view of watches compared to that of average.
