Regardless of price or in some opinions overpriced, B&R is coming up with some very cool designs IMO.

I'm on the fence with this one. Any price info?

I think the normal tourbillon is somewhere around 120k so...

It is pricey, only 18 made. They say the case made of DLC (diamond like carbon) titanium that is virtually unscratchable at a hardness of 4000 vickers. Looks to be in the price range of a lot of other "luxury" tourbillon watches $100,000 +. Interesting, I am sure I will never see one in person.

(repost nasty) I think the older ones that sold locally were listed at 135K but sold for more like 90K.... not reality for me right now by a long shot, but this thing is the meanest looking watch ever! Looks like Megatron! The case size is massive.. Its larger then the BR01

I think its one of the coolest watches IVe ever seen, but I regard it like I do f-15 fighter jets: Ill never get a chance to test it out.

Do you think it costs them HALF of that to make such a watch?

I know theres a wyler watch that uses the same style of movement, I wonder how much those run....

Well, as a B&R fan, I dont like it and I dont get it. Off course, that is due to my taste and feelings towards watches, and I mean no offense to anyone who may like this watch.

For discussions sake, Ill try to explain my reasoning. To me, B&R is a modern company that markets its products as high quality, minimalist high performance tool watches. I dont really see the point of such a complicated and intricate movement on a BR01, at over 20 x the normal price. I like their gold top / clasp and alligator band options and the many color versions but this edition is needlessly over the top in my view.

I will probably never spend $100, 000 on a grand complication watch but if I did, why would a bypass an IWC, Patek or Vacheron to buy one from B&R, in a "phantom" dial scheme of all things?

It is not meant for mass market, only 18 made. A lot of brands come out with "very limited" editions, helps create a buzz is my guess....
