    Sunlight is awesome. In absence of this, I usually use my Surefire.

    I use a halogen reading lamp that's on my nightstand. The sun does seem to work pretty well but is seldom available when I need it for this purpose.

    I use my bedside lamp with a compact flourescent.

    UV light (aka a black light). Those who have one will know this is the best, hands down.

    Edit: ok, the sun is best, but like some have said, if the suns out, you don't need lume
    Lots of dive watches.

    And it is kind of hard to carry the sun when you are diving.

    Halo's get hot and we've seen quite a few pics on WUS of watches with molten dials, bezels, chapter rings, hands, popped crystals, etc.

    LED based lights would probably be better.

    Multi-bulb LED flashlight. Safe, effective, fast ;) .
