    Re: Best pickups of 2015

Happy to say that in all of 2015, I only bought 2 new watches.
An Orient Star Classic - new daily dress watch; and an Seiko Cocktail time - jeans\casual watch. Happy with both acquisitions, but Seiko required addl straps to be usable and continue getting straps for it as nothing is quite perfect.

2016 looks promising - have just one watch in mind, but hope to get 2 watch faces in one watch :)

Oh, these 3 hands down . . . why (aside from the fact that I love the look)? All 3 purchased from sellers overseas, against great odds and/or a bit of risk taking . . . . the Patek used from an individual in Sweden with me wiring funds first, the BP FF used thankfully from an established watch retailer in England but again wiring payment first and the new green Reverso purchased from JLC London Boutique on a phone call (after procrastinating a week and a half after I see the announcement, thinking what are the odds?) and ending up with the last one of only 26 made . . . I truly feel blessed . . .

Hard to pick a top 3 for the year, but here goes:

#1. 1963 GS 3180 in platinum (yeah talking about it again).

#2. 1961 Vulcain Nautical, untouched dial/handset. Legendary watch.

#3. 1966 Seamaster 165.024, untouched, with b&p. Not the rarest, but I just love this watch.

... can't do it. Have to include the 19GS VFA - on the way from Japan now.
I'd be surprised if anyone here knows/cares about this watch, but for me it's a true grail - *the* endgame ladies Seiko.
Featured on the History of Grand Seiko site, and awesome for many reasons.
