    Best watch under $2000

    Hey,
I'm in the market for a new automatic. What is the best watch under $2,000.
    Thanks!

The question is too general. Tell us first what designs you like, and list a few examples of watches you like the design/style/function of.
    Lots of dive watches.

New or used? If used, I'd lean towards an Omega Planet Ocean.

    Wow!
    My bad.
Not so formal, but could be worn in a formal setting. I find that many times the band makes the watch (if that makes sence!) I want one for work settings and the boardroom. but can do double duty for a weekend as well.
I tend to not lean twords chronos but there have been some i like.
Breitlings are way to gaudy and seem almost cheap to me, maybe it has something to do with seeing so much of them.
Tags and Omegas are nice as well. but lots of those on the street also.
I'm looking for a unique piece. something to last me for a long long time.
Something not worn on every newly minted, newly poor hedgie's wrist.

    Thanks!

I'm loving the watches from JS Watch Co at the moment. They are made in Iceland, so you won't see them on every wrist. The designs are gorgeous, the movements nicely decorated and the exchange rate at the moment makes them more affordable than they were a couple of months ago. Check them out - they sponsor this site so there's a link to their website at the top of the page. If I had $2K to spend on a watch and I was a man, that's where I'd be heading for sure.
