    Birth-year Watches

I'm on the hunt for one!

It'll most likely be a Rolex Datejust for me. Will just have to wait till one pops up, which may take awhile.

However, let's take a look at yours if you have one!
Present: ROLEX Hulk Submariner, Pepsi GMT 16750 & 2T Datejust 1601 * PANERAI Radiomir PAM183 * IWC Ingenieur Mission Earth * BREITLING Navitimer Olympus * SEIKO Orange Monster * TISSOT PRC200 * SWATCH '86 Lancelot

    Past: BREITLING Super Avenger (Sold)
    * OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean XL (Sold) * SEVENFRIDAY P3-1 (Sold) * SEIKO Black Monster (Traded) & Fifty-Five Fathoms Mod (Sold) * HAMILTON '60 Masterpiece Thin-o-matic (Sold)

    Hunting:
    AP RO 15400

The Grail (Someday): Patek Philippe Aquanaut

Time is too precious to measure with a cheap watch * The greatest luxury in life is time. Savour every second.

Don't have one, but would love to own Zenith A386 from 1969. Finally got a substitute.

    Re: Birth-year Watches

It's a birth year watch with a twist. I was born in 69, the same year as man first walked on the moon. It was part of the reason I bought this. Cool looks, great history, beautifully built, hand-wind and the birth year connection.

You guys are lucky - there are some really lovely watches associated with your birth years. If I were to do that I'd probably end up buying a sundial.

Im born in the quartz era (1984), but I was before on the hunt for a Rolex DJ with fluted bezel. Just didnt bought one as I decided it had to be TT which was out of budget at that time.

This 1947 Elgin De Luxe is a couple of months younger than I am.
