    Black dial sports watch, sub-$10K on rubber

    Hi All-

    I bought my first real watch a few months ago...it was a JLC MUT Moon. I'm very happy with it but am thinking I would like to have a less dressy watch for the wknd and days I'm dressed more casually.

    I would like to find a watch with a black dial that is sportier and sub-10K, preferably on rubber rather than steel bracelet. I would like to keep dial-size below 42mm.

    I like the Ulysse Nardin WatchesMaxi Marine Chronometer

    263-66-3/62 Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Chronometer Mens Watch

    Any comparable watches or completely different direction suggestions?

    thanks

    How about a Rolex SubC?

    Take the metal bracelet off and buy a RubberB or Isofrane strap?

    How sporty do you want to go, and with a budget up to 10, what else do you want?

    Ball has a number of options, I would go Ceramic XV on rubber

    Man there's so many choices. I mean most sport watches look good on rubber and there are plenty of nice afetrmarket rubber straps even if it doesn't come with one and plenty of sport watches in that range and size and I'm tired just thinking about it. Ok off the top of my head, Glashutte Original Sport Evolution with big date.,.if you can find one, since I don't believe they make that model anymore.

    Or an Omega PO 8500? Although, it does wear large.

    Ball Skindiver is nice as well.

    thanks for the replies. I guess you guys are right - there are lots of options

    to narrow it down, i don't want chronograph since I won't use. Also don't care for rotating bezel found on most diver watches.

    Complications could be a seconds sub-dial...

    Does Penerai line speak to you?
    There is no such thing as a collector's watch.

    This German combo looks amazing tome, WATCHIONABLE: ANOTHER GERMAN LEAVING ME . Damasko DA36 on Sinn rubber strap. Damasko is a great bezel free option (DA34 and DA36 images from damaskousa.com).

    check out Sinn also.

    For me, that'd be a Rolex or a Grand Seiko spring drive. Although, if you're not keen on rotating bezels, quite a few of the sporty diver options disappear.

    Fifty Fathoms can be had for a little over $10k;

    Can't go wrong with a GMT Master 2;

    Again for a little bit north you could get one of these and keep the JLC vibe;

    How about a Chopard LUC Pro One GMT;

    A few other options.
    There are more but I should probably be doing some work.lol
