    A blast from my past.

Wow, I had one of these, way back when. As I recall it cost around $30.

It was a terrific watch, but my cat, Lawn Mower, didn't like the ticking (I guess he was a quartz guy ). One night he knocked it off a windowsill into an open commode, and it was inadvertently flushed after a late night call of nature.

If I'd've known then what I know now I would have dismantled the toilet!

I think I replaced it with an Armitron. Crummy watch, but at least Lawn Mower was happy.

That is absolutely cool looking! Too bad you "lost" it . . .

Bummer! What a crappy thing to have happen to it.

    Cool old watch.

A sewage plant employee in Arlington VA is still wearing it.

I've had this for about 20 years, never had a problem with it. Doesn't tick too loud either. It's my go to sleeping watch now

Best not buy Lawn Mower a Swatch - noisiest quartz motion in existence?

Sorry for your loss; cats can be A-holes. I remember seeing Bean watches made by Hamilton; do you know how old it was? I know this one is ~ 20 years and it's a generic Japanese movement.
