Bought myself some Whitebread. A few pictures

I decided to get my first high end dive watch.

Wasn't pleased with Rolex's or JLC's offerings (other contenders). I went with the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe in slate ceramic and blue.

Buy did it deliver. Never had a watch that changes so drastically based on the light.

I plan to get a polished with pearl stingray strap for this eventually.

Pictures are from an older Samsung phone. That said, even pro photos online don't do this watch justice.

Totally stunning. I have always loved how “simple” the dial is on this watch. Not a lot of text, not a lot of texture, just not a lot going on but it is just awesome. Big congrats

You nailed it. Many divers have huge applied indices and declare their depth rating and movement stats on the dial. That would distract from the amazing blue sunburst I think.

Not so unlike the ocean itself...what a great looking watch!

I choose these to photos since they remind me of Tamarack Beach near where I used to live in Carlsbad, CA. The top looks like the denim colored skies we’d get once in a while the bottom is the grayish sea on those days...this is why I collect watches.

Seiko Spring Drive was my wedding watch, Rolex Datejust was my anniversary watch, but I call Oris home.

Ive had the opportunity to see one of these in the metal, and it was a stunnner. From the dial sunburst to the display caseback and the fine polishing on the plates of the movement I was really impressed.
I usually dislike date windows at the 4:30 position, but it just works on this because there is no clutter on the dial.
    Nice pick up!

Fantastic choice. As a big fan of Rolex, Tudor, and Omega you certainly made a sound decision. Awesome history and an amazing watch.
