    Boutique Sales Associate position

    Hello,

I recently applied to a watch Boutique Sales Associate position, and I have a phone interview scheduled this upcoming week. I tried doing a search but I couldn't find any specific information to this topic. Maybe in my search I overlooked a thread, but I was wondering if anyone here has worked in this position.

    Thanks,

    John

What is it you'd like to know? Ask away, we may have the answer even though we haven't held that position.

To be exact, what are the salary ranges for a sales associate for a boutique? Is it worth having this position if you have a college degree? I love watches, but like in the movie Wall Street, "I can't wait to be on the other side of that phone."

See this thread for an idea of how many of us would never buy from a boutique, then you'll realize how hard it is to make a sale. My estimation is this would be a frustrating way to make minimum wage.

I read that one and I think it just comes down to who do you trust more. Sad to say their are a lot of con-men out there and buying in person is usually the best bet. Where I live, all you need to do is go to Bal Harbour shops and you will see people purchasing from boutiques.

Be aware before hand, it's not as glamorous as you may think and you stand a great chance of being jaded.
Dealing with the public will be eye-opening, plus the pay isn't all that great.

You applied for the job before finding out what it pays?

I have estimates of what the salary ranges, but I wanted to find out exact information from individuals in the field.
