    Boutique watches

.....watches from small companies limited in production, of excellent quality. Im looking for a new watch pref. under $1000. i figured i could buy a mass produced, unoriginal watch. or something rare.

I prefer dive styled watches, but the water resistance doesnt matter as i only freedive. Please recommend some brands!!! I like benarus and Ocean7. are there others?

Based on what you're looking for, I would check out Stowa. The Seatime and Prodiver should fit the bill, though the Prodiver is slightly over $1k.

Both MKII and Precista have a classic design but are small boutiques that anyone could be proud to own. Personally, I just received my Benarus Sea Devil and am elated with it. I should be receiving my DWATCH Black Ray pretty soon as well, and that one is going to be a real treat... I definitely want to throw that into the mix. You should pose this in the Dive Watch forum, you'll get hits galore and not even know where to begin. Stowa is good, but I find the look bland and boring with gauche abrupt lines and an uninspired design & bracelet. I cannot stress enough how nice Serket watches are, but they tend to have a very unique look and aren't loved by all. Keep your eyes on the dive watch forum, and you'll find what you're lookin' for.

    Re: Boutique watches

Just discovered the Dutch have a new boutique brand too. Not really a diver though:

And it might be my stay on WUS have spoiled me, but is Stowa really boutique? Okay, you won't quickly see a random other person on the street wearing one, but for us WIS it's one of the regular brands... not quite offbeat and limited enough to be boutique, is it?
