    BRAND POPULARITY CONTEST ROUND 3!

So...the results are in. Glashutte Original (23 votes) and A. Lange & Sohne (21 votes) have made it out of the wild card race. Patek (19), Sinn (17), Zenith (16) & Tudor (15) all came close but rules are rules and we're moving on with GO and ALS joining the Big Boys: Omega, Rolex, Seiko & JLC.

Unless the top vote-getter in this round gets more than 50% of all votes, there will be a runoff between 2, maybe 3 brands depending on how close they are. Don't forget to let us know why you picked what you picked.

The poll will be up until this Sunday.

I like this thread(s). I wanted to do a 64 down to one during March Madness this year but I was too busy at the time to do the brackets and tend the multiple threads, maybe next year.

For those unfamiliar with US sports March Madness is the college (university) basketball tournament where 64 teams play for the national college basketball championship.

Re: BRAND POPULARITY CONTEST ROUND 3!

My favorite for what? Seiko and Lange make completely different kinds of watches, irrespective of price, so it may be hard to compare them. Am I selecting which brand's designs I like the most? Or, "if you could only wear watches from this brand, which would it be"?

So, in the words of Lucille Bluth

Rolex. Ignoring all the history, innovation, style and residual value, it is the brand that tugs at my heartstrings every time. It's my choice on an emotional level.

Omega. As per previous rationale: They all have some models that I like (and aspire to owning); but, (ignoring the obvious 'quality versus quantity' argument) Omega has the most models that I like.

Re: BRAND POPULARITY CONTEST ROUND 3!

Voted for Omega (again): their designs/quality/price combo is the reason it got my vote. Not to dismiss some of the other fine brands out there, but I had to pick only one.
