Breitling GMT or Tudor North Flag

    I have difficulty to choose.

Some features and photos as below.
    Size:
    43 mm V S 40 mm

    Movement:
ETA 2893 (?) well tested VS new in house movement, long hour

    Case:

Fairly toolish VS a sort of Genta type

    Function:
    GMT VS power indicator

I prefer the sapphire glass of Breitling, appears to be with better AR coating. The applied logo is also nice.
Tudor's overall package is very competitive.

Anyone could offer some expert inputs? Thanks in advance!

    Wow, pretty different watches.

Personally, how a watch wears on my wrist is my first consideration then how it fits into the collection ie redundancy is my next consideration and finally, how it makes me feel is the final criteria before I buy anything (that is easily accessible in an AD).

Ignoring all this, OP I like the NF. I have seen them in the flesh and in the wild. Someone on here also posted a pic of theirs on a Tudor Pelagos rubber strap and that looked awesome. The Breitling here just doesn’t speak to me as much. Nothing wrong with it, just a personal taste.
    My 2c.

Edit: the NF wears a lot bigger than its dimensions suggest (large dial, thin bezel).
In the end, if they fit your wrist size criteria, you can’t go wrong with either.

    Thanks for your great inputs.

I have a Zenith elite as my dress watch, 2 pilot watches in Forties and Muhle Glashutte, a Limes Chyros II (still dressy).
I want a sporty one this time. I eyed at IWC Ingenieur, but old genta design discontinued.

Then I debate between these two. I have seen Breitling at an AD, have not handled Tudor yet.

Breitling GMT or Tudor North Flag

I own the Breitling Avenger II GMT. Very impressed with it. Wears smaller than its 43 and is quite thin at a smidgen over 12. Personally I don't like the integrated lugs of the NF.

Whenever the question is “North Flag or (fill in the blank),” the answer is always...
    Fill In The Blank.
Sorry, I’m just not a North Flag fan.

Not North Flag plus one. Poor design. Get a Pelagos.

Of those two, the Tudor but honestly I am not a huge fan of either. Not sure what style watch you want but there are better choices either way

    Cool. Nice collection.
I think the NF is the sportiest out of the two. Since you haven’t tried on the NF, be sure to also look at other Tudors like the Ranger and definitely the Pelagos when you’re at the AD next.
If you like sporty, there are more looks with NATOs etc etc that can go on the Pelagos and Ranger.
Pretty limited to bracelet, NF black/yellow strap, Pelagos rubber and custom made if you want to change up the NF.

Also, Basel is upon us so maybe wait a little bit and see what they have to offer. You never know.

I’m a fan of both Breitling and Tudor, but while I like both of these, they don’t speak to me like other watches from the brands. Choosing between the two, though, I think I’d take the North Flag. The size is better for me; 43mm is pushing my upper bounds.

Something unique to me about that Tudor. I've tried one on before and really liked it. Not a fan of the bezel on the breitling.
