    Bremont or Omega?

    Hi guys,

This is my first time posting although I have been on this forum a lot as a non-member looking at your reviews and deep knowledge of watches and brands, so I thought it was about time I got your opinion on which watch my next purchase should be.

The title might give it away and you might be thinking the choice is obvious, however my search was for an anti-magnetic, GMT. I've seen Sinn, I've seen Ball & Co and they don't do it for me aesthetically as much as these two do sad to say. I've narrowed it down to the Bremont MBIII and the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra GMT (pictures attached).

I had my heart set on the Bremont for about a year until recently I kept noticing how many limited editions they keep releasing, just one after the other because it just makes them less and less special (to me anyway) but that hasn't driven me away from the original, MB3, no aircraft carrier stuck on it somewhere. The Martin Baker link is a selling point to me, I also think it looks really really nice. But then there's Omega. I don't need to say much about it. Classic looking Omega, top brand, good movement. And a £1k difference in price it's not likely nor necessary for me to buy both.. So what are your opinions on either and which one do you think I should go for?

Thanks for taking a look and have a nice weekend.

I think both are fine watches but that’s not a very attractive Omega to me. My choice would be the Bremont

I prefer Omega, but just FYI, the Omega you’re considering is not one of their anti-magnetic ones.

    Bremont or Omega?

Do you want leather or bracelet? What’s the size differences? Weight?

I’d also pick the Aqua Terra over the bremont.

Aqua terra you can wear with anything, the Bremont looks like a strict tool watch if you ask me.

Bremont is the more interesting out of those 2!!

But if it was a different Omega then that would be my recommendation, much more horological history and quality there.

Blimey. Can't believe I missed that. It's what their site recommended.

The bracelet doesn't concern me too much. Both 43mm and share similar weights. Its a toughy.

I'm a massive Omega fan but that Bremont is stunning and the one I would go for out of those 2

Bremont for me, I have an Aqua Terra (non GMT), and it is a great watch. The MBIII, however, has many more interesting small details. Also I imagine the MBIII is much more versatile. I only wear my Omega with a business suit, whereas I can see the Bremont being used in work and casual settings.
