    Bulova Precisionist or Hamilton Tonneau?

Besides my G-Shock, all of my watches are round. I think it's time to change up the collection with either a square/rectangle/tourneau shaped watch. I'd love the older Tag Heuer Monaco Chrono but I can't afford one. I've been eying these two - Bulova Precisionist 96B144 and Hamilton H36415735.

I already have several automatics in my collection, so choosing the Bulova would be a nice pickup-n-go quartz watch. Plus, it's supposedly very accurate and has a sweeping second hand. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to see one in the flesh. On the other hand, I prefer the stylings of the Hamilton. Although the Bulova is cheaper, price is a non-factor.

What do you guys think? Thanks everyone.

I think the Hamilton looks a lot better here and I tend to prefer autos. But you're thinking about getting a quartz, and for that reason, I'd go Precionist. Looks like an auto, very accurate, care free. One thing to consider though is that it doesn't have a perpetual calendar, so it'll still require (very minor) manipulation throughout the year. For the price there are some Citizens and Seikos that have perpetual calendars (even one high-end quartz + perpetual + 10 year battery) which will probably work better as a "pickup-n-go" watch. But they also lack the smooth sweep hand.

Although I am a fan of the Precionist line and movement, I would have to take the Hamilton on styling. Square watches typically wear big and I think that Bulova will be very large.

    The Hamilton looks better.

That's the first Precisionist I've seen that's decent looking, although I still can't stand the seconds hand. When I look at the counter-weight end, I see scissors.

    Go with the Hamilton.

That said, if I were to buy a tonneau at more or less the same price-point, I'd go for a Kemmner, which is probably cheaper than the Hamilton and is, to my eyes, more interesting looking. See here: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f67/kem...ew-377880.html

Maybe I'm a bit biased but I vote Hammy - online pictures do not do it justice:

I just checked out that thread recently. That Kemmner is nice but I'm looking for a textured dial.
