    Bulova Question and clerification please

I am currently looking to purchase a Bulova 96A143 automatic, SS case with white dial with gold marks and hands. (see pic) However I have noticed that some of them have the Bulova logo at the 12 O-clock and some do not. Is one of them a knock-off or what? They seem to have the same number so I'm just looking for clarification on this so I can make the right choice. Thanks...

From what I recall, when they re-introduced the "Accutron" name on the sweeping seconds quartz watches, they dropped the tuning fork logo on mechanical watches to prevent confusion. The two watches you show above are likely from before and after that decision, even though they're the exact same model otherwise.

OK, that makes sense and also makes me feel better about them both being the same watch and genuine.

    I appreciate the info, thanks.

Yes, Bulova announced the change a little while back. (Also notice the newer one, without the tuning fork logo, has the newer "A" in Bulova.)

I didn't catch that before, thanks.
