Thanks for the complement - also fun when two hobbies come together -

Thanks for selling the watch - I had wanted to get an Orient for a while, but Orient USA doesn't ship to Canada.

    "No....it arrived today"

At this point my wife took notice..."you mean this orange watch is not the same orange watch you got yesterday?"

"Well, no - that was a vintage Seiko. This is an Orient..."

    I got "the look"

It's an addiction - what can I say?

Photos of the latest - purchased from a fellow member.

What reflective surface are you using? Impressive setup for photography -- any details on light & background setup? Great photos.

Love the new Orient! I have blue and black. Bought/sold orange a while back, but thinking about buying it again (I'm addicted too).

I hate it when my wife catches me with a new watch, too! I normally try to pull the "no, this old thing, I've had it forever."

The video does capture the moment - includes a sound track as well...

A Doxa is on the list - they have a special on selected models right now which makes it even more compelling. But I'm a little overspent on the watchs funds right now

I don't really keep my watch purchases a secret - I just happened to be home this day and collected the mail myself. Usually the packages are at home waiting for me so there no real way to keep them quiet.

The setup is straight forward if you have a lightbox. It's a large soft box hovering over a sheet of black acrylic. I then use a white sheet on the sides and most of the front to fill in the light and to create a white reflection off the shiny watch parts. There is a black piece of foamcore (cardboard) behind which keeps the base black.

Similar effects could be achieved by bouncing a portable flash unit off a white ceiling - this creates a very large softbox.

Great family shot! I like the orange dials as well but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

    Congrats - nice story.

I would have the say - that is the perfect accessory for an Orange Monster!
