Buying my first dive watch - strap recommendations?

After about 6 months of deliberation, I am making my second purchase since diving into (pun intended) this watch hobby. My first purchase was a Seiko SARB035, which has become my daily wearer. I am now going to make my first foray into dive watches. My primary focus is on a watch that will provide a good value, while also being tough enough to survive weekend wear. Uniqueness is another feature that I value in this one, as I will probably end up buying a more expensive dive watch that is more of a "classic," if you will.

All that said, I think I am decided on the Bernhardt Binnacle Diver with a green face (borrowed picture below).

I do realize that the bracelet this watch comes on is of a good quality given the price point, but I was curious if any of you had experience wearing the watch with any other straps? Any pics or recommendations would be appreciated!

Thanks again to you all for your contributions to this forum. I thoroughly enjoy reading all of the various threads, and picking up bits and pieces of knowledge along the way. Cheers!

Gotta have a rubber option when it comes to a dive watch.

Isofrane works well with the beefy feel of a Bernhardt. Unique look and very sporty. They even have a dark green option that would go well with green binnacle.

Also, a tropic rubber would look good as well and it's more low key than an Iso, if that's something you're interested in.

if it's going to be a beater-type watch, then check out some NATOs.

I second the rubber options too: black, neon green, white, and maybe orange would go well.

for leather, a dark brown/mocha/chocolate strap

Totally agree with the Isofrane recommendation. It's an awesome strap with a high-quality screw buckle for only $99. I wear both of my DOXAs on Isofrane and love them.

    If Rubber, than Isofrane.

I love the look of divers on a vintage style leather strap. Google it and you will find hundreds of examples from this forum.
