    Bvlgari watches

I have one that my x bought me when we were married.
I noticed that they aren't mentioned too much here.
Ok, the bracelet is a little rougher than the standard SS bracelet, but that cant be putting everyone off?

    What gives?

    oh man.
I thought the Gucci watches I gave her where in that category...
The Bvlgari has a nice blue dial, GMT but the bracelet really stinks.
I should have married the Seiko Woman.

    nice!

I think theyre very pricey for what you get, i know other brands are overpriced (like Panerai's with a 6497 in them) but they have history, Bulgari doesnt.

I have had the opportunity to handle a few, from both private collections and stores, and i do not think the quality is above Oris or even hamilton for that matter. But they do look good, its just what i think WIS want something more than good looks if they spend $2000 on a watch, they want history, complication, in house movt. ya know?

Be proud to own a Bvlgari watch. It may be a jewelers brand watch... but its a major name in that circle of players. The major names are Cartier,Tiffany, Bvlgari,Harry Winston and a few others like Chopard...they should not be confused with fashion designer name brands like Gucci,Fendi or Christian Dior...Major jewelry houses have different levels of quality in their movements and cases...Americans have Tiffany as a major jewelry house,Paris has Cartier and Italy has Bvlgari...which has started making their own calibers and parts for some of their watches by the way...jewelry house brand watches arnt discussed often because they are not studied and collected like the companies that only produce timepieces....Ill take your watch and give it a good if your dont want it anymore...JM

Well, Bvulgari watches do feature a special design and are made to complete a jewelery line up. They are very well made but in a watch collector´s perspective they are not really collectibles.

I mean they are jewelery rather than collectibles.

My wife would like to own this one:

When you got the Bvlgari as a gift from your wife it was and hopefully still is a sign of her love to you and makes your watch unique. Wear it always in good health.

Here's a link to one of the Bvlgari watches I saw in the recent Robb Report Watch Collector mag.
    http://www.worldwatchreview.com/2008...nograph-watch/
It's pretty nice looking to me and uses a Frederic Piguet caliber 1185 originally produced for Blancpain.

    Cheers,
    Christopher

I like them in the exact context that you received yours. If I had the equivelant amount of money, I would not choose one. But as a gift, it is a luxurious watch that should be worn with joy.

My wife bought me a diamond bezel, dial tag quartz for our wedding. I would never have paid what she did, over 3k for a quartz tag. But I absolutely love the watch and I enjoy wearing it.
