This is my first post here and I was hoping to get some of the collective knowledge from the group that would help me learn about this piece. I posted this in another forum, but I don't believe it is as busy as this one and I got no responses so I figured I would re-post it here.
So I picked a lot up at an estate sale which turned out to be a pretty good deal. In the lot there was what looked like a gold and diamond bracelet. Looking closer it turned out to be a covered face watch in solid Yellow 14k with diamonds set in White gold at the hinge . I have added some pictures below.
So I am curious as to the history and if anyone collects this type of watch? I am interested in anything I can learn about this. Time period that it was made? Potential value? Anything really. I have found very little about the brand other than all I can find now is rather inexpensive and nothing like this in material or workmanship.
I currently do not have direct access to the watch as I dropped this off at a watchmaker to service and polish some of the defects on the face. He is going through the movement and getting that working 100% again. (It was losing time when I got it). The pictures don't do it any justice. My wife really likes it (she is more than likely the next owner) so time will tell there, but I was just hoping someone out there had some information on this that would help educate me on this.
Thanks in advance!
