CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PICK A WATCH PLEASE

I decided to go with a watch for my 16th birthday. I want a watch i can go hunting, fishing, biking, and snowboarding with. I would like to wear it to school and to work (landscaping and Bus Boy). The most i would spend on a watch is $300. It will not be lost or stolen because i take really good care of my stuff. Here is one of the watches i was looking at. Its a Casio Gshock. Amazon.com: Casio Men's G9000MS-1CR G-Shock Military Concept Black Digital Watch: G-Shock: Watches
I was also looking at the NAvy Seal Luminox watches... Cabela's: Luminox Sentry Series Watch

please tell me if these are good watches or not. If not, do you recommend any. Thanks!

And sorry if this isn't the correct forum for this. New to the website

    Welcome!

I'm sure either of those watches will be just fine.

    Welcome!

Both watches will suit you fine. I would recommend the G-shock.

Buy the G-Shock. There is larger than expected amounts of quality control issues with Luminox. I own a mudman myself, a G9000BP-1. It's a very nice watch. I have heard that the negative display on this particular watch is difficult to read in low light. I know that the watch I have is very easy to read in low light, but it is reviewed as so. The dual illumination on these watches is actually probably the best offered by Casio at the moment. So, I suppose it depends on the environment that you are in and how much you care about a highly legible watch. It should last you a long time though as long as you remember to have the watch pressure tested when and if you ever have to replace the battery.

You got two really different watches there. If you want quartz, there are also some good quality quartz Seiko dive watches that can be had with 200 meters WR, dive rated, which means no worries about plunging hand in tank of water at job or getting dirty up to elbows either. A solar quartz would save you battery changes forever. Plus, it would be a metal case and you could have metal or rubber bracelet, or both. The Seiko Divers all have awsome lume so you won't have any problem reading 'em in the dark.

You can also go mechanical in that price range as well, the Seiko SKX007 is a classic in that price range.

All of those choices are rugged enough for your fun and your work.

    Which Gshock would you recommend?

If you want to consider mechanical, take a look at the entry-level Hamilton Khaki. It's a wind-up...old-school, utilitarian...not a water watch. Swiss movement, sapphire crystal. You can dress it up and get variety with different straps...different leathers, NATO, etc.

    Enjoy the hunt!
