OK, team . . . here is tonight's brainteaser.
With the Alabama Crimson Tide completely dominating its last couple of football games, my attention has been shifting from watching the beat downs being administered on the field, to watching Coach Nick Saban's watch, all in an effort to accurately identify the watch. Checking Google, I find several discussions of the watch on other forums, and lots of people trying to identify it, but without any success.
Images are here -- http://www.onthedash.com/pics4docs/Saban/SabanA.jpg and here -- http://www.onthedash.com/pics4docs/Saban/SabanCollageA.jpg
Here's what I see:
-- a fairly large chronograph
-- three registers, at 12, 9 and 6
-- knurled bezel
-- applied metal markers, for the hours
-- crown guards
-- date at 3 o'clock, positioned toward the center of the dial, with the brand name (or some other mark) between the date and the center pinion
-- tread pattern on the rubber strap
Do not pay too much attention to the color of the dial . . . it may be black / charcoal / midnight blue, depending how the light (and the PhotoShop) are striking it.
So can we identify this watch -- brand and model? High-end watch for the best paid coach in college football or something that came in the "swag bag" for a recent bowl appearance?
Please share your thoughts about the watch (and also about the magnificent dynasty of the Crimson Tide, if you are so inclined).
