    Carbon Composite Balance Spring

Can we talk about this new innovation?!

It seems like Tag Heuer is putting this technology into their Cal. 5 movements. This is great news as this may mean a cheap way (spring replacement only) for mechanical watches to be more resilience to gravity, magnetism, and temperature changes!

I didn't even noticed the Carbon Hairspring was on their more expensive Tourbillon model until they introduced it to the new Autavias!

Much like the silicon balance springs we're seeing pop up in some brands/models, I'm very intrigued by this alternative amagnetic hairspring material option.
