Catch and releases -- on average how long did you keep them?

How long do you guys keep your catches, before you decide to release it?

I've purchased some watches recently and I immediately didn't feel it'll work out and started the off-loading process. Too soon?

Not at all. I recently turned a watch around in less than a week. I purchased it, wore it and realized immediately irt wasn't for me so I sold it for a minor loss which sucks but, if I know I don't like a piece it's out of here because why stall the inevitable. If I don't like a watch then I don't like it, no use pretending. I hate like hell to lose money but in reality lose it today, lose it tomorrow, that's the chance we take when we buy something.

As others have said, it’s never too early. After going through a good number of watches, I pretty much know right away if I’m going to like something.

This is my definition of catch and release so no, not too soon.

You know what's too soon? When you regret the purchase almost as soon as you send the funds. Unfortunately that has happened to me more than a few times.

A (popular) microbrand owner once told me that the watch I've owned for a mere 5 months was the longest he's seen me keep a watch. He didn't know how close to the truth he was.

I've probably sold 30-40 watches within approximately 6 to 12 months of purchase. In most cases I will wear a watch once or twice then another watch will catch my eye and I sell to fund that purchase. What also tends to happen is I accumulate too many watches to ever wear and instead of having them laying around collecting dusk I try to find them new homes :)

i'm not selling anytime soon but for my info, do y'all use simple things like Craigslist or do you go Chrono24? i suppose it depends on how pricey your watch was...?

    thanks

I've never flipped a watch, but my BB58 may go on the block after just a few months. Not connecting with it, so far.
