    Central, Small, or No seconds?

Which do you prefer and why?

I like small seconds on a dressier piece and central on a more modern styled watch. I don't really like no seconds as a quartz can accomplish the same look as a mechanical there.

Central, small, but never none, because I like to watch it go around!

Central. The gentle sweep of a "normal" second hand is watch magic...

    Depending on the watch. Yes.
    Movado Museum-great iconic watch
    Nomos Club- wonderful watch.
Rolex Sub and all the clones-perfect tool watches.

I prefer no seconds or small seconds, but I don't mind center seconds. It all depends on the watch.

A well-executed small seconds can look really sharp. I also like how it can keep the hour and minute hand uncluttered.

Central is the only way for me. I need to see what time it is to the second. Small is too small to see and no second hand is not going to ever happen on my wrist or watch box. It's part of the reason I only have one watch with a Valjoux 7750. Nice looking watches and movement but that small second hand doesn't cut it for me.

99% of the time I love central seconds. The only exception is vintage pieces with small seconds at the 6 o'clock
