Challenging watch hunt - A very nice GMT / Worldtimer on a budget

With so many demands, I'm not sure that it even exists, but its worth a shot:

    New watch only
    Budget: 1000$-3000$
Brand: Preferably an independent brand that's not part of a group (Swatch, Richmond, LVMH, etc)
Design: Dressy but not boring. A good example of a design I like is the Nomos Zurich Worldtimer, but it's way out of my budget. Aviation themed is also an option, divers are not.
Other: AR'ed sapphire crystal. Clear caseback with a decorated movement that would be nice to look at.
Movement: Preferably automatic, if not an option that hand-wound is fine. No problem with ETA, but it must be decorated or modified.

Is there anything like that to be found?

    Thanks for any help.

Well the Frederique Constant seems to meet your requirements. Not sure how nice it is in real life, but I'm monitoring this thread as well out of interest.

    Two suggestions:-

    1) Do a Google image search on "gmt watch" and narrow down your choices depending on what appeals

    2) Use the forum search function to find the numerous threads where this sort of subject has been discussed to death. I suggest searching "best gmt" will give you a fair spread of information.

I think these might fit your descriptions well, dressy but distinctive and different, well within budget, see through case back, independent brand and quite frankly goregous to look at imho.

I think these guys will continue to grow well as they offer something so unique from mainstream Swiss with quirky reinvention of old design styles but solid specs for the price, no compromise on quality it appears from what I have seen of high res macro photos anyway.

I wish I had the cash but alas they are abit rich for my blood (wallet) but I can admire from a far all the same

    Happy hunting!

I'd second this too, very cool watch, bit hard to read perhaps? But I'm very fussy about busy dials, I like very legible, puts me in good stead for when I'm older and will only be able to read very legible dials anyway!

Thanks, but the movement from the back is not something I'd enjoy and I'm not a big fan of the GMT in the small dial.

Thanks, but unless I'm missing something, it's way out of my budget.
Further more, like mentioned I prefer to avoid a brand that is part of a group.

Thanks, definitely an option, but I really need to see them in real life in order to judge the colors. I don't think there's a way to do that.
