    Charging My Solar Babies

I store my watches in a box with a glass top but every so often let the ones I'm not wearing out into the light to recharge. Here they are on my kitchen table top today sucking up some sunlight:

I love watches. Like a lot. But there's something off about using the word babies in this context. YMMV.

No pic of mine, but they got moved to a small south-facing window today...but on the side of the house, facing the house next door. I leave cane drapes down...they're only partly blocking. One thing I learned the hard way...leather does indeed fade. Should hopefully not be an issue where they are.

On a side note, my older, cheaper solar atomic Casio died. Wouldn't hold a charge. Mind, this was something like the WV59, picked up...sheesh, 25 years ago? Pretty sure it couldn't be much less than that. For $25...that I do remember cuz it was on sale at the time...I think it did yeoman service.

Probably just needs a new cell if you want to revive it.

Even though my solars live in glass topped boxes in a well lit room I find they still need a bit of windowsill a couple of times a year.

You guys are wasting time sitting them on a window sill...Get 1 or 2 of these & they will NEVER discharge!
