    Choosing a Tag Heuer Monaco

Hey guys, I've been looking to get myself a Tag Heuer Monaco, more specifically one of the calibre 12 39mm "classic" versions but i can't figure out what color to buy.
With that said i'd like to hear a little from you guys because its always good to have some opinions.

Yep, blue is the way to go IMO.

I'm not sure about the blue one because of that blue leather strap, I like the history of it and Steve McQueen, but I'm actually more inclined towards this one:

The blue reissue gets the most love. I have a Monaco Vintage, in Gulf colors (red and blue stripe on a white dial--wearing it today--modeled after McQueen's race suit in LeMans) and I think it's the most beautiful watch ever made, bar none, but that doesn't help you because you can't get it anymore.

I love the blue, I love the gray reissue as well, but you know, the basic black is very attractive as well. I don't know if TAG still sells a non-chrono version, but as long as you get a chronograph Monaco, you're buying a beautiful watch that's well made and has a lovely history. The McQueen connection also really resonates with me (as you could guess).

How did it get so late so soon?

I'm not a Monaco big fan, but for the right price I would go for one IF IT WAS BLUE. The McQueen connection is just to big to fight. Oh yeah, I would only wear it on a Rallye Strap- because it's the right thing to do.

What do you guys think about this? In blue, same 39mm size, Heuer only branding on the dial, see through case back. Yay or nay.

I personally would love to own the Tag Monaco 69, reverso analog to digital.

I believe that I would opt for the blue. Or if money was no issue, go for one of the striped versions and pay the piper.

However, I think the controversial on this thread, but novel idea would be to skip the Monaco altogether and take a look at the Hamilton Pan Europ. In my view has a better movement, and more wrist presence, for less than half the price...
