Always been a sucker for a well known brand and have had most of them over the years, Rolex, breitling, omega etc but have been intrigued by CW for a while now and took the plunge with a c65 trident classic. Had to get away from dive watches for a change. I was deeply suspicious of a watch costing a bit more than the price of an Omega rubber strap and clasp but this really impressed me. Anyone can make a good looking watch but often closer examination reveal poor finish on the dial, wobbly crown and the strap or bracelet often show signs of cost cutting. Best example is the Davosa bracelet. The non visible part looks very rough and the clasp is flimsy. The CW has every ingredient of a more established Swiss brand. The dial has omega style waves. Vivid white superluminova. Even the date is nicely framed. Under a loupe I couldn't find any lume smudges on the batons which is often found on cheaper watches. Polished and brushed case. Screw down crown. WR to 150m. Case back is well finished too. All nods to the omega seamaster range. I know it's an acquired taste but I quite like the sword/onion hands. The strap has a good feel to it and even has a matching polished and brushed deployment clasp. All in all, very impressed so far. Certainly can't go wrong for the money. Attached a couple of (not great) photos.
