    Chronograph for ~5k? (Criteria inside)

I searched and did my research but I couldnít find another thread on this, so here it goes:

Iím looking for a chronograph with some brand prestige, steel bracelet, 100m WR, around 40mm, chronometer movement, and decent lume.

Here are the ones Iíve found so far, but Iím kinda ďmehĒ on:

Also, the Sinn 103, but like I said, meh.

Is that too tall of an order for 5k?

    I would appreciate some suggestions.

It apperars that the TAG will require OEM replacement strap or bracelet.

The Tag feels cheap and plastic-y in the flesh. Go for the Longines! Or get a time machine and go back 20 years for a steel Rolex Daytona for $5k

Chronometer criterion alone is very likely to blow your budget.

Unless you meant chronograph, of course.

Plenty to choose from in Omega or IWC, especially if you are looking to buy from a grey dealer. Chopard as well, if you are looking for something sporty and not overly concerned about the relatively basic ETA caliber.

Nothing wrong with Tag, but, frankly, at least IMO, Tag is a better choice if your budget is around $3k and you are ok with them being sole at Macy's next to Movado (I know, very snobbish of me, but that's how Tag chose it to be).

Zenith El Primero. I have the Captain Chrono, which is not 100m WR, but the tri color Primero is . Both do have bracelet options.

You are probably right about the budget, and I definitely meant chronometer grade movements. Not snobbish at all imo, I tend to think the same way, which is why I wonít buy another Seiko except for the SKX that I already own.

I like IWCís, but they tend not to be water resistant, and are not chronometers :/

If you want a chronometer movement your going to have to adjust your budget. Honestly, I don’t see all the hype over them anyways. You can easily buy an Omega or Zenith with a movement measuring within COSC standard, just without the piece of paper from the factory certifying it. To me that paper isn’t worth the few thousand you might spend buying a watch with an actual COSC movement
My collection changes so often I got tired of redoing my signature
