    Citizen Skyhawk Sound

    Hello,

I purchased a Ciitizen skyhawk from a WUS member and all is fine with the watch except for the sound. It doesn't beep for alarm or timer.

It wasn't mentioned on the listing and maybe even not noticed from the seller but I am wondering if anyone has experience with Citizen service? I don't have the original receipt etc, would they look at it? What would the charge be etc?

    Thanks for any input.

Anyone ever have this problem? No sound on the skyhawk?

Necro'ing this thread but for a good reason.
Just replaced a movement in my Citizen ProMaster with a new C300 from Esslinger.
No sound (i.e. no reset beep, no stopwatch beep, no alarm beep)
    Cause (as of yet) unknown.

Got my Citizen NaviHawk (with a C300 movement) sound problem all sorted out.

    The thread is here:

The part I was missing (and if you have a sound problem you are probably missing it too) is this one circled in red right here:

I hope this helps someone else with this problem. Cheers!

yeah it's the piezoelectric spring. It has to make contact with the inside of the caseback in order to make the watch beep. I bought a used titanium skyhawk titanium on ebay a few months ago. It was advertised as "not working" but I took a gamble and bought it for something like $50. When it came in, I did an "all reset" and the watch worked great, but it wouldn't beep.

I took the back off and the piezo spring was missing. I wore it for a few days and then sold it for what I paid for it (I told the seller it didn't beep and he didn't care).
