    Color change, help needed

I have a silver-colored watch. I would like to make it black (matte if possible, but not necessary). How should I go about it? Can somebody help?

Sorry if it's a wrong section, but I wasn't really sure where to ask.

Never heard of this....Other than paint!
    Good luck with your search.
No I take it back...Can be PVD coated...Google PVD Coating Watches.

Hmm, the PVD coating seems alright but it also looks expensive and probably hard to do on my own.

I was actually thinking of using an oxidizer. Would this be a good idea?

I'll probably use a regular paint as a last resort though.
EDIT: On second thought, would a car paint work better for a watch than a normal paint? I'm talking about things like scratch resistance (at least to a smaller level) and the way it looks.

There's no Cerakote where I live. No DLC either.

Paint won't last a month of regular wear...That's why they make them out of plain shiny stainless steel.

I don't know of any DIY solutions and as LBF has said paint will wear off ultra quickly. Your best bet is to investigate having it professionally PVD coated.
