    Custom Diamond Dial?

Hello Everyone. I'm new here and this is my first post. I've been reading these forums for a while now and decided to join. Anyway, I have a watch that has diamond markers, but they are the cheaper, small diamonds that don't shine much and instead have the larger, metal reflectors around them. I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to maybe take the watch to a jeweler and have them make a custom dial where they remove the current markers and put in some larger, better quality diamonds? Thanks everyone.

as the lower value diamonds were made for that price-point watch , wouldn't this mean you would be putting higher quality diamonds into a lower value watch - what i am saying badly is -is the watch worth the upgrade?

Great point. I would imagine that it's possible, but maybe an expensive undertaking in terms of labor cost and buying the individual bigger diamonds. Also, there's no guarantee that it would be done well.

IMHO, if you're willing to spend big bucks to buy 12 bigger diamonds and have them custom-installed in a less expensive watch, you might be better off buying a more expensive watch with the bigger diamonds in it that you want. Maybe something like this: Rolex Datejust Stainless Steel White Diamond Dial Fluted Bezel... for $.3,350 for sale from a Trusted Seller on Chrono24

Usually a good way to make a watch look like a pile of manure.

A largely worthless endeavor, unless you love the look.

The watch will no longer be stock so it will have lost some value there. The watch will likely be worth substantially less than what you put into it. If you really want to do that, just put in CZ. I would say you are wasting your money unless you totally love the result and will wear the heck out of it. But few men wear watches with diamonds on them. Tastes also change and that is a risky design to put much money into. I probably know better than most around here how an unusual watch you love today you might completely turn off to later.

Hey we could do a thread!

Not a fan of diamonds on a watch. What is the watch?
