    Customer Support?

    Hi guys,

I lost a lug screw to both my Ti chronograph and Ti SEAL. I know I know, how could I have possibly lost two?!

I think Ti screws dissolve when they touch hardwood floors. LOL

I called and emailed Kobold several times but I haven't received a response in a week. Can anyone suggest where I can go to get replacement screws? I'm willing to purchase them, and explained that to them too.

Any alternate source would be greatly appreciated. The watches are essentially dead in the water without 1 stinking lug screw.

I'm not sure if steel screws will work as well. Ideas?

    Thanks, Jeff

    Jeff

I am shocked that you have not received a reply by now..... i have emailed Mike about a problem and he called me on the phone ten minutes later. Still no excuse for the lack of support your having, my only suggestion would be to keep calling and let Mike know of your problem. I am sure if someone here on the forum has a few extra screws they would be happy to help you out.... i am sorry that i don't have spares i could share with you.

    Cheers
    Marko

Call back and get someone on the phone. There is no reason for them not to respond to this simple request. Let us know how it turns out.

And not to make excuses for them, but they have always been notirously bad at responding to emails.

    Re: Customer Support?

Maybe to help you in the future. I spread out a cloth on the table that will be used to change out screws. Thus, if a screw falls it gets caught by the cloth and does not bounce off the table and onto the ground. Springbars are another matter though, I've had those things shoot off the watch and land far away. However, those are much easier to find on the ground.

I did mess up the screw heads when trying to remove the bracelet from my SEAL when I first received it. A few email exchanges to explain the situation led to me receiving a screw pin removal tool and an extra set of screw pins from Kobold.

You might want to try calling, it will probably be easier to reach them that way.

I have said to call and never email many many times...

In fact it is a sticky right here on the Kobold forum.

    Unhappy Re: Customer Support?

I called today, again. The rep I spoke to said at first that it would be $10 a screw. I really wasn't happy with that answer but I decided to go forward with the purchase anyway. After hanging up, the rep called me back to tell me that they can't sell screws separately. I'm thinking "how about giving them to me after the bucks I've dropped there". Anyways i'm told that I must buy a complete lugbar set @ $25. Now we're up to $50. I'm not in manufacturing but that screw doesn't cost more than a buck. I decided to pass on the deal and buy them elsewhere I guess. My coffee isn't covering up the bad taste in my mouth. Oh well...

    Thanks for your advice guys.
